Glen Ferris Inn since 1839, the sign said. I found it in 2009 late, on a cold night, exhausted after a bad wreck. 3 1/2 hours on the scene, cold, tired, stranded. You took us in, warmed us, sheltered us, fed us. Insurance wouldn't cover the room, my money in fuel, in a wrecked truck. Did you turn us away? No, you sheltered yet another weary traveler. Thank you G.D. J.
This was a great experience-we got there at closing(they even came to the door to make sure we came on in) and they still served us and even though food was limited (but that means all is fresh) it was superior and the service was beyond expectations. thank you for this experience - the bread/salads and Orange Roughy was great and even the tea was the best
Based on the website, I guess I had my hopes set too high. It was not too pricey, I admit, but we got there at 5:00 on a Sunday night, apparently, just a few minutes too late to get anything to eat. Our only option then, was a very unpleasant Gino's in the very small town. There is nothing there. I had thought we would have a nice view, at ...
My wife and I stay at the Inn whenever we get a chance. The staff is always pleasant and professional and we cannot wait to return. We prefer a certain room and have never had a problem with our choice. The food is exceptional and the hotel is always impeccable.
Pros - cool location, decent but pricy food, historic ambiance.
Cons - location, decent but pricy food, lack of historic ambiance.
If the people runnignthis would give it some thought they could spin this into something alot better. There is plenty of history associated with this place but you'd never know it staying there. They have ...
we (husband and two grown daughters)stayed at this beautiful inn, and absolutely loved it! my husband and i had a room with a view of the river, and my daughters' room had a view of the mountains...both were fantastic. we're from california, and you can't even get a motel 6 room for the price we paid at the Glenn Ferris Inn. My husband and I came to your beautiful inn last fall. It was such a nice weekend trip. We plan to come back with my brother & sister-in-law this late spring or early fall. The inn was great. The resturant was great and my heaven ice cream. The staff was so fun.
Its such a beautiful place and the food is so good that we for got we were only a few miles from home. The view of the Falls is great and so peaceful you don't mind the wait for the food.
Relaxing, quaint, peaceful, the views from the deck overlooking the falls at the end of Oct. are breath taking. Old, but well maintained, with lots of history we truly enjuoy coming back year after year.
