My family and I loved our stay here. The room was very clean,the breakfast was great. The hotel was in a great location.The area was very pretty and we felt safe. This was the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at, and I have stayed at many Holiday Inn Express hotels...not the standard that you would expect for HIE.
I did not take my shoes off the entire time because the carpets were so dirty. This hotel is rundown and in desperate need of a remodel!

Loved it, wish we had more time to sight see or at least goof off around Balboa Island and the area - e.g. the pennisula that goeas around the Island

The price was good but they had no vending machines/gift shop and the only soda machine they had was broken so no way to get food or drink there. When I went to go check out the work out room, I couldn't get out of the little gated area between it and the inside of the hotel. I was locked in and my key didn't work. Finally the front desk person spotted me and had to come get me out. Good thing I wasen't stuck in there all night!

the hotel was great. the room was great. the food was great. the pool was great. right on the beach. the service was great. i would stay here again.
