We just got back from our 2nd trip within 13 months to Disney and stayed again at Old Key West. We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo and had a blast. Our room looked over one of the greens of the golf course. The room was great. The only negative I have to say was that the beds in our room were hard and uncomfortable. What I will say is that every ...

Stayed at Old Key West in August 2008. The grounds are very well maintained. Mature trees, bushes, etc make for a very relaxing atmosphere. Transportation to get to the parks is a breeze. I was surprised to find out that the resort was built in 1991. It was very clean, our room (a 1BR villa) was very large and well maintained. The onsite ...

We had a studio unit in one of the older buildings without an elevator. We were promised 3 times by DVC that we would have either a 1st floor unit or one in bldg with elevator as stairs can be difficult. Were assigned to a 2nd floor unit anyway. Studio has no DW, so only paper plates, cups, bowls & plastic utensils were provided. Had small ...

Large rooms, showing age- but away from the masses ! Great location- close to downtown disney. Good resort for families with kids. Restaurant on site is so-so- nothing special.
Old Key West was the original DVC resort. The resort is huge. The decor is relaxing and nice. Probably the best part about the resort is that there are multiple pools. Perfect if one pool was packed. The restaurant is nothing special. The arcade is ok, but the arcades at Wilderness Lodge, POP Century, and Port Orleans Riverside are much ...
I loved this place because it is built to support the attraction for the Keys on southern Florida is in Orlando. The service is great, i am a disney vacation club member and they treat you like kings and queens, and your directly in the middle of all the great disney theme parks. This is truely where dreams come true.

Poor service (slow and rude) Dirty rooms (floors were filthy) We expected more for the price we paid for the 2 bedroom villa. Not recommended. Stayed at Coronado Springs last time and it was much nicer for less money.

An aging lady showing her age
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/17/07
We've beem Vacation club members since 1993, and while we still love the grounds and out of the way feel of Old Key West , the accomodations themselves are beginning to show their age. We stayed in a Grand Villa in October 2006, and the first thing we noticed when checking in was accumulations of mold on the wall vents. Unsightly, to say the ...
Since we are members of DVC (Disney Vacation Club) we often choose to stay at Old Key West. It is not our home resort, but the charm, quiet, relaxing feel makes it one of our favorite places to stay.
When we visit OKW we just leave our car sitting in the parking lot for our entire visit. We much rather use the bus service than to have to drive, ...
