As was already mentioned, the suites here are 'tiny'. There is only an armoire (no closet) and the bathroom is tiny. For what they are charging, I would expect a hotel on the beach. This hotel is in a center median, with access to the beach through a campground (only one way into the hotel and one way out). The beach at Doheny is rocky as well - I would only recommend this hotel for couples without kids (tiny pool and $8 drinks)

The rooms are very small, bathroom had little counterspace (just room for a sink), there was no place to hang towels in the bathroom. I travel a lot for work and am usually greeted by professional and friendly front desk agents, that was not the case at the this hotel. This is an average hotel in a very good location across the highway from the Pacific (not actually ocean front). This place is steps to Doheny beach, I came for a business conference; brought the kids and wife. They enjoyed the beach while I was in meetings, had a great time. Rooms are large for what you would expect, Our room had an ocean view and a balcony/patio that was like having an extra room.

Good place if you want to mix business with family. We will hold a conference there again. Service was excellent.

The hotel is strangely located between three roadways. I would suggest arriving in the daylight to find the entrance. The staff was young but friendly and helpful. As another reviewer said, this hotel is not on the beach. You have to cross PCH and a campground to get to the beach. It's not that far, but it would be difficult with kids or lugging a board and some gear.
