Is this place still in business?I tried to call and local number is disconnected, tried the 800 number and got some sales company. If anyone is considering staying at the Coalson Plantation & Inn, I would suggest reading the reviews on the Trip Advisor website. I know after reading the reviews from Trip Advisor I will not spend $100 + on a room at a supposed "plantation" and receive service worse than a Motel 6 or Super 8 motel.OVERALL

Very Nice place -- but needs better service/managementThe Melhana Plantation is a really nice place -- great main house, nice rooms, and a really great 1930's indoor tile pool. Construction on the farm started in the middle of the 19th century, and it's been improved several times since. The room we had in the Foshalee building was great, and a good price at $99/night.
