I agree to most of the reviewees many positive posts. It is a bit pricey but totally worth the convenience and quality. We have a 5 year old daughter so the convenience is high on our list. We rented a stroller and when she is totally exhausted and sleeping - we just parked our stroller near the entrance and went up to our room. No more carrying ...

Rooms very small and dirty
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/14/06
Overall a very disappointing experience. Rooms were very small, and the service was so so. There also seemed to be a bit of a disconnect between the theme parks and the hotel. My youngest daughter who was 1-1/2 also got bug bites all over her. The hotel really doesn't need to go the extra mile because they are always fully booked. The only ...
We has such a great time at the Disneys Grand Californian. This was our first visit there and everyone treated us graciously, from the valet, to the bellboy, front dest, room service etc all were very kind. The hotel made us feel like we were away from it all and yet so fortunate to be close to Disneyland(my favorite place), California Disney and ...
we got spoiled being so close. worth the extra $$$$$ to not deal with crowds when leaving the parks and catching shuttles, just walk out the gate and right to your hotel.....awesome!!!!!!!!! So friendly..

Extremely Disappointed

We just got back from a birthday weekend at Disneyland. This was our first time staying at the Grand Hotel, and I was excited about the experience. We requested a king size bed but upon checking in, the clerk was not very friendly about trying to accomadate our request. We conceded to a room with two queen beds. The problem was it was ...

Accomodations were nice and comfortable. The best thing about it was the accessibility to the parks.
Cons -- room not available until after 4pm, and the bathroom door only secured the toilet and shower area -- rather than the entire bathroom. It did not provide adequate area to get dressed in private.
I can't say enough about the Grand California hotel. Spectacular, well-located and very comfortable.

Not worth it
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/29/05
This was our second stay at this premium location. The first was the week after it opened. There were problems then, beyound what seemed reasonable. After four years, I thought the problems would have been all solved. They are not. After booking a park view room for five people, we were placed in a downgraded room. Initially they tried to tell us ...
The hotel is very impressive upon arrival and the lobby is typical Disney -- overdone --but it works there. The first room I was taken to was at the end of mile long narrow halls, small and noisy from the Downtown Dinsey atmosphere music blaring. When I agreed to pay more for the executive levels was much nicer and larger-though considerably more ...
