A great weekend get-away. Close to the city center. Beautiful, spacious rooms. Great service, nicely maintained fitness room and pool. Adjacent to Carneros Restaurant, one of the best in Sonoma

The fireplaces are awesome!

This was one of the most pleasant hotel experiences that I have had in awhile. The rooms were very cozy with a very well placed fireplace that took off the evening chill - very romantic! They could use a casual dining restaurant as an alternative to the excellent, but expensive, on-site option.

Romantic place, lovely room, a must stay for getaways!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/13/04
I just got back from a weekend in Sonoma and this was absolutely a beautiful place to stay at. We got a cottage room which was pretty spacious and very well maintained. The service was also very good. There was a spa at the hotel called Raindance spa where they offer facials and massages, as well as several outdoor mineral pools. We had a great time and definitely recommend staying here if you are in Sonoma!

wonderful hotel that allows dogs
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/09/04
I spent 4 nights at the Lodge at Sonoma in August 2004. I wanted to take a vacation with my dog, and I chose the hotel because: 1. it allows dogs ($75 one-time pet fee) 2. it has a spa
The great thing for me is that you can bring a dog to this hotel. It's a one-time $75 pet fee, and they give you a little welcome dog toy and some ...

Nice property, service needs work
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/07/04
My wife and I took a night away over Labor Day weekend and stayed at the Lodge at Sonoma. POSITIVES: Nice cottage room with sitting area and patio. Great massage at the spa. NEGATIVES: Very annoying front desk staff. They forgot to ask for credit card when we checked in and then called us 5 times in 2 hours to get it. No bell staff out front when we arrived. Overall, a bit pricey for the level of service.

Excellent
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/01/04
I went here for a one night, weekend stay, and was very impressed. The room was clean, luxurious, and had all necessary amenities. The bath was decadent with its window through into the main room area. We had a tasty meal at the onsite restaurant, had fun tasting wines in the onsite cellar, and ate a great room service breakfast the following morning. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Rooms were nice but front desk was not knowledgeable about the area and were short with my girlfriend when she asked for reccommended activities. The property itself is tidy but bland. Location is too far from the square and very noisy. The price was reasonable but there are many better options in Sonoma, try MacArthur Place, we just got back and loved it!
