Only 1 block from the NJ rail system into Manhattan - well lite at night. A decent breakfast. Comfortable bed. Water pressure was good, lots of hot water. Did not see any bugs. Towels were sufficient. Nothing in the area worth seeing. Great place to stay if going into Manhattan and want to save a few bucks, but plan a full day in the city because ...
This hotel is very close to Path station at Journal Square. We did not have a car with us, so I don't know about any parking issues. But one can use a small street called Magnolia to walk to this hotel. I admit that the neighborhood "looks" unsafe and shady but after having walked to the hotel at 1:30am and 10pm, personally I would ...
The things I like best was the price, location to the train and the breakfast. It took a little work finding the place but after that things went fine. The parking was a short block away ($8 per/day) and the train into NYC was a long block away.
The only drawback is the neighborhood. It's a little rough looking although we didn't have ...
We had a little troble finding the hotel but after we arrived it was fine. The parking was a short block away ($8 per/day) and the train is a long block away. The hotel was a good value for the money. The breakfast in the morning was a surprise. We took the train into the city and once we figured out where the train goes it worked fine.
I must admit off the bat, that I did not stay at this hotel, even though my office had me booked there. I had a hard time finding the place, partially because the area did not look like it would contain a large franchise like Ramada. I also had a very hard time finding designated parking nearby. There were some rough-looking kids hanging around ...
As many times as to visit, I still need directions to the hotel and the staff is always helpfull and pleasent. The rooms are clean and accommodating (iron, microwave, etc.). The hotel is convenient to the Path train and it is very easy to get in and out of NY from the hotel. I love the price!
For the last five years that I have been going to ...
We booked this hotel for the Bike New York event. You are two blocks away from the Path subway and a ten minute subway ride to the WTC stop. The neighborhood looks a little sketchy but my wife and three teenage daughters felt safe. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. The hallways of the hotel were wide and well maintained. Our rooms ...
The hotel has more of a feel of an urban, European hotel. There is no parking at the hotel, but rather at the lots nearby. The hotel was clean and felt safe. The only reason I give it a "4" is the cost of an internet connection.
I want to recommend The Ramada Limited in Jersey City to anyone who wants good value for money and convienient location for a NY visit. It's a great alternative to the Manhattan hotels. I originally wanted to book in Manhattan but after searching I turned out with an empty hand, either very bad reviews from guests or far to expensive (like ...
This hotel really suprised me, the only thing that I was not pleased with the parking and the traffic area. Overall the hotel was really clean and convenietly close to the train station that goes to Manhattan.
