I am trying to get away from the "Chain" hotels I am always staying at. A Hilton in Cali is the same as a Hilton in Miami. Even though I am trying, I am always a bit anxious when staying at an "independant" hotel. At least at a chain, you know what you are getting.

All in all a comfortable hotel with big rooms! Nice pool out the back and free snacks from 5-7. Great hotel to stay if you are in Sunnyvale for business. Not much around the area, but close enough to San Jose or Palo Alto, etc.

Stayed in one of their bungalow rooms for two weeks. Very nice with a gas fireplace, patio, two TVs, a small kitchen, a king size bed and a large bathroom. Some noise from the AC fans/compressor outside. A problem with the high speed internet connection was resolved quickly by the hotel staff.

I spend 1 week in this May. This is small hotel with few staff, but their service and hospitality is very well. Near the hotel, there is some shopping place. You can enjoy wine after buying that at those stores.

The Grand hotel is a great value for business travel. Spacious rooms, complete with internet access, work desk area and huge bathrooms! The rate even includes breakfast and cocktail hour and depending on the location, limo transportation to the office or airport.
