The food is overpriced and unsafe. We were there for the 4th of July and my husband got food poisoning from the tuna wrap at the casual eatery downstairs. They were very unsympathetic. I wasnt asking for a refund or anything, just an acknowledgement & apology. The hotel is across the river from River St & downtown where all the action ...
A very luxurious motel but it is still Savannah, not Maui. You can have the same luxury for half the price across the river at the Hyatt. Plus you must catch a ferry to River St. from the Westin. I attend GMEA conference every year and I hope either Westin will get more flexible with their rates or continue to stay across the river. Nothing in the restaurant is that magnificent, save your money and eat or drink on River St.
had bad service. the rooms were small. walls had marks on them throughout the hallways. i wouldn't stay here again.

Great Anniversary Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/05/08
We stayed at the Westin Savannah for our anniversary for the weekend of June 19th. I was a little leery going into the trip after reading some of the reviews, but I was blown away by the service and hotel. The concierge contacted me a week before the trip in response to an email I sent asking to have roses and chocolate covered strawberries in our ...

We got into Savannah very late our first night of staying. Went straight to bed. When we got up the next morning, the sheets were dirty with black hair all over them, questionable things on the bedspread and blankets on both beds, when we called house keeping, she said yes it looked like the had been on there a wee bit! When we pulled back the ...

My wife and I stayed here with some friends of ours for New Years Eve 2008. What a joke. We were welcomed with rude, unprofessional attitudes. This could be the main reason that there were so few people present. Our king size bed turned out to be two double beds. Yes one of the other reviewers here was right about only one bathrobe per room.
In ...

Everyone I live in Savannah. In all honesty I have to give the Westin two thumbs down. Strike three they are out.
My first visit, shortly after they opened. During our dinner (Aqua Star) the fire alarm went off. After a 20 minute false alarm we were not compensated the least little bit for our inconvenience. Nope, not even a free cocktail. ...

I Loved The little courtyard out front!Amazing! We were lucky enough to get a wonderful view of the harbor! Even if you didnt get the view we did, you still get a view of the great golf course! It was suprisingly clean! Compared to other hotels. The only thing that bothered me was the shower. It didnt really have enough pressure. Too Low! Other Than I recomen this hotel for evryone! Did I mention that they have vallet parking? :)

HORRIBLE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/05/07
I had reservations on the labor day weekend. It just so happened the day I was supposed to arrive, there was a storm that had dumped 6 inches of rain and streets were flooded in Savannah. Not only that it continued to rain into the next day making conditions even worse. I cancelled my reservation obviously, yet the hotel refuses to waive the one day cancellation fee.
