The hotel was more like a hostel. It is in a more residential area, about a 15 min cab ride from time square.
The rooms were very small, the facilities were awful, and it honestly very nearly ruined the trip. The likeness between the photos and the actual hotel are non exsistent.
So bad that we checked out after 2 nights because I was so upset with the room.

Astor on the park was just what I needed. Has a great modern look and feel to it, people were nice and very helpful. Located near Central Park West, very convinent for the sight-seeing and to enjoy the New York City Limits. The Astor is small, but in this case small is good.

even though the double room was small it was clean & tidy. good size bathroom, sleeping on the beds was like sleeping on an ironing board ! One tiny elevator to serve all ten floors. hotel staff indifferent.
central park lovely! had the overall feel of a student hostel.

I got bed bugs from Astor On the Park. Contacting the manager, his response was "how do we know you got the bed bugs here" & "most bed bugs are caused by guests..."

Staff was amazing. Rooms are little but clean and "wow" with bathroom!! Very pleased to be there! They also have internet and they are always able to help with tours and information you might need!

location desperate, staff unfriendly and unhelpfull, rooms pokey and unpleasant, we felt unsafe here at night time. only facilities are tea/ coffee machine in basement, glorified hostel, in fact I have stayed in better quality hostels

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and clean my room was. It had all the basic amenities you'd fine in a regular chain hotel. However, the decor was even nicer than at some chains.
