smells like stale cigs in the room. there is no breakfest provided. hotel was dirty. didn't have enough of towels. no hot water for a day. need new sheets has holes. no minifridge or microwave. the internet didn't work. marks in the carpet. i wouldn't stay here again.
Like: 4 blocks to French Quarter. dislike:Very outdated rooms, shabby bedding and curtains. No hot water or towels available on one occasion. Watch what you pay, may not match your confirmation price. Wait staff not helpful at all.
Booked this room on hotels.com. Booked non smoking due to medical problems. When arrived in room , was given a smoking room. When i went back to the desk, the on site manager told me too bad i would have to keep it because the have to give you what you request not matter what. One of the beds in the room was broken and leaning to one side, and the room smelled bad. The one positive point to the room was the view. Will never stay there again.
Before leaving on our road trip to New Orleans, I decided to call and make sure everything was ready as I called well in advance (31 days). I asked the Reservationist to confirm my reservation and gave her my reservation number. She returned to the phone with very disturbing news--she could not find a reservation in my name and then proceeded to ...

Met our needs perfectly. A clean, comfortable, convenient place to sleep and shower. If you need a big pool, go somewhere else. Staff was friendly and helpful. We parked our car when we arrived Thursday night and didn't move it until we left on Sunday. Canal Street, Bourbon St., French Quarter maybe a 5-10 minute walk. A COUPLE OF TIPS: ...

I booked two rooms ahead of time with Hotwire and called ahead to warn that I would arrive late (around 10 pm). And yet when I showed up the lady claimed she didn't have the reservation and took half an hour finding two rooms on separate floors. Cleanliness in the rooms and lobby was approximative (post-Katrina labor shortage?). And after I ...

Pleasant Stay.....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/03/06
Visited post Katrina, and while the hotel was obviously affected by the terrible devistation to the area, it was also obvious that they have worked hard at restoring the physical building. Also, even though the locals who work there are working under terrible understaffing conditions and have their own day to day problems themselves, they remain extremely helpful and pleasant. We can't wait to visit again under even more pleasant conditions.
We stayed at the Parc St. Charles the weekend before Katrina, and i can honestly say that we loved it there. The desk clerks were great and the conseiurs were even better. Close to french quarter but near as pricey as hotels on the quarter. We never got back into our car, walked everywhere. I just hope this lovely hotel didnt get damagaed too much, ...

Fantastic Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/22/05
I stayed at the Parc St. Charles last weekend. Very nice people and very clean rooms. The property is not brand new, but it is clean. The fitness center was under renovation, but a small one was set on the 2nd floor. The pool is dainty, but enough to cool off in. I did not go to New Orleans to swimm anyway! I had no problems in my room! Perhaps the ...
