Swimming pool area filthy!When I went down to the pool area, the tiles on the floor were really dirty looking. I didn't even want to take off my shoes. It wasn't dirt from other people's shoes or anything. It just looked like the tiles had never been scrubbed. They were white but looked brown. The bathrooms in the room were clean but very dated. But I Don't Smoke!The clerk at the front desk was amazing! We didn't look for lodging until after 6 p.m., so when we arrived at this motel, all that was left was smoking rooms. We don't smoke, but we decided to at least look at the room. The clerk changed the bedding, brought us fresh pillows and offered to bring in an ionizer if we wanted one. most likely to go back = )Loved everything about this place except for 2 things... #1 the built in hair dryer in the bathroom is very poor and would NOT dry my hair at all. This dryer had barely any heat or barely put out a breeze... #2 the swimming pool was too cold. Loved ItWe stayed at the Comfort Inn over mid-winter break (Feb). The people at the front desk were friendly and always willing to help. We stayed in a non-smoking room. It had two queen beds, a table, and a little breakfast nook. We still had plenty of room for luggage and to walk. Location , location not enoughThe property's appearance is deceiving as it is large, clean and modern. We were there on a very busy Friday and the room rates were at their maximum with a double room going for 149.99. Can't wait until next year!We go to Frankenmuth every year on our anniversary. We left this morning and I can't wait until next year! We had a jacuzzi suite. The room was romantic and very large! 2 rooms, french doors, large jacuzzi tub and very quiet hotel. Southern Hospitality!Having a suite is a wonderful idea. A huge complimentary buffet breakfast started our day--every day. The pool was perfect and the location was near everything! We met friends in one of the many comfortable sitting areas and had a great time catching up. The staff was both friendly and helpful. Great memories year after yearI've been staying at this hotel for the Easter Holiday every year for the past 5 years and I love it. Our entire family loves the kindness of the staff and the setup of the hotel itself.

poor receptionWe were rudly told when we arrived at 1pm that there was absolutly no check in before 3pm. Fine, we went shopping. We returned at 4 and were put in a room that smelled of smoke when we had reqested a non smoking room. We returned to the desk and our room was changed. Since my reservation was guarented I wonder what would have happened if we hadn't returned till late to the sold out hotel.
