    A great first base in Provence as it's an easy 20 mins drive from Marseille airport.Aix city centre is less.Apart from short periods in morning and evening the nearby road is almost silent.The hotel is sited in a cool shady river valley.Rooms are simple,of adequate size and very clean.The restaurant is excellent and moderately priced.Dinner on ...

  • just to the restaurant

    we came for lunch the last day of our
    trip to France and consider it our best meal,
    even after 10 days in Paris... we did not
    stay overnight but intend to the next time
    we come to Provence... absolutely lovely
    location near a river with beautiful
    plane (Sycamore) trees all over... we ate
    inside but would want to eat on the large
    terrace ...
