Stayed there on business - not in heart of downtown and on quiet side of riverwalk. Very nice hotel, recently remodeled and updated. The rooms were clean and a nice size. The beds and bedding were so comfortable I didn't want to get up the next morning. Staff very friendly and helpful and valet was super fast. Next trip to San Antonio I will stay there.

nothing bad can be said about this place all was good the service and the help ..never have i been treated this way ..
doorman was very helpful in the directions manager on duty meet with you when you check in ..... easy to get to river walk and other spots downtown ... will visit and stay here again ...rooms very clean nice view.... very helpful staff ...

I think this hotel thought it was better than it was. It was located off the main area of San Antonio and yet thought they were the Ritz Carlton. Because we had booked through Yahoo travel, they were rude about breakfast, stuck us on a floor that was under repair and were never too helpful with anything.
However, the beds were amazing and I would try another Crowne Plaza just for that reason.

My experience at the Crowne Plaza was really bad. Everyone my friends and I came in contact with on the staff with the exception of the managers were rude. They were not very helpful and basically made my stay close to miserable. We did not recieve help with our luggage until we talked to a manager (we had a lot of luggage)The bar tender was ...

We stayed at the Crown Plaza Hotel in San Antonio on February 17, 2005. It was a beautiful hotel with wonderful service and awesome rooms. It is not in the best location if you are looking for active Riverwalk access, but it is an awesome place to stay...
