My wife an I drove across the US Chicago to San Francisco in June this year, avoiding all large towns taking in the wilderness.A room at Crater lake lodge was booked 3 months in advance for one night. We found ourselves ahead of schedule 70 miles from the lodge a day early.I gave them a call and asked if we could arrive early to be told yes thats ...
We stayed at the lodge and had reservations for a special occasion at the restaurant. The reservations included specific food orders which we phoned in well in advance of arrival. The management assured us they would be ready to prepare certain foods for our party. When we arrived at the appointed time, they were completely unprepared, and did ...

Back to a Far Simpler Time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/20/07
Crater Lake Lodge is located in pristine surroundings for nature-lovers. Even flying overhead in an aircraft, it's hard to miss or be prepared to see and describe exactly the vibrant blue coloration of the lake created when a volcanic mountain collapsed and filled with water long ago. The serenity of the area and the grandeur of the surrounding ...
This hotel was good in all aspects. A nice place to enjoy. Good service was given by the hotel staff, would like to visit this place again along with my family and friends.

Beautiful Crater Lake
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/22/06
We just spent a few days at Crater Lake Lodge. The rooms are a bit expensive and smaller than I had expected. However our room was clean and comfortable with a great view of the lake.
The service was cheerful and charming; the great hall inviting and comfortable. The restaurant at the Lodge is very good and the prices are in line with any ...

A slight thunderstorm kicked up just before sunset but when it cleared off it was one of the most beautiful ...

The Great Hall is great!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/19/05
I agree with rgo123 that the appetizers were delicious. Fortunately for us, the dining room was full for lunch so we waited to eat a light meal in the Great Hall, where regular entrées are not served. Tasty clam chowder, succulent salads all served up with fresh bread made a fine meal. I'd strongly recommend it and look forward to eating there again.
Maybe not the greatest, but it has to be a top 10. The Lodge at Crater Lake sits on the rim of the crater, and the views are stunning, and the lodge is almost everything you could as for in a National Park.
First off, you go to Crater Lake to take in the views, to hike, and to be mesmerized by this national treasure and natural wonder. The ...
