i went there and it was clean and the staff were pretty nice, but the accomidations where terrible, the "breakfast" consists of cereal packets, mini doughnuts, packaged oatmeal, boiled eggs if really lucky, waffles and pancakes that taste like sawdust, and milk and O.J. the hair dryer is one that is attached to the wall and will dry your ...

Buyer Beware!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/29/07
Ask many, many questions before booking at this hotel. The Howard Johnson doesn't include my benefits found in other hotels. There is no coffee maker, or microfridge standard in the room. You can add a microfridge however for an additional $10 per night. Also, there is NO ELEVATOR! If you don't like climbing stairs, first floor is best. ...
was a good location to the beach and pier .my credit card was charge more than what the room cost . when i call to talk to the desk clerk about my bill she couldnt even help me and refuse to answer on what i ask .this is not a good hotel to use a debit on line.

Great Stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/15/07
We really enjoyed our four day stay in this hotel. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The service was good. The breakfast was adequate, but not something you would want everyday. Overall, for the value it was a good deal. I would stay there again.

Friendly Staff! Reasonable rate considering the time of year. Walls were pretty thin for my taste but it is a motel after all. Easy access to all the island has to offer if ya don't mind a walk. Would stay again. Good value for price paid.

When you make reservations online at the Howard Johnson website it will quote you the Total Room Cost and in brackets it will say (Total Room Rate may include local taxes outside of North America). On talking with customer service they said that this means that if ...

Lovely Holiday
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/01/05
For the price it was great! Just a block from the beach. You can't see the ocean from the hotel but if you're on a budget this is the place to stay.
