The people were friendly and the location is nice, at the waterside. The view from the room was great, BUT
You have to walk five minutes to the tram, and then it is fifteen minutes to anywhere interesting. So you loose at least half an hour every day. Amsterdam trams are fun - but not that fun!

Initially thought that the name and "brand" of hotel could prove its worth, but I think there really isn't that much to say about the hotel. Went there last July.

We had one of the worst rooms in the place, I think - right at the lower floor and close to the lifts. It got quite noisy a few times, but we beared with it.

I liked the hotel because we got a good price, but it is out of the main area which is nice at the end of the day, but tiring to get back to. Having the Shell station with the minimart next door was great for snacks and water! Staff friendy and kept room clean, turned down bed in evening.

This is a very nice hotel located in a very nice area within Amsterdam City limits. It is just about 1 kilometer walking distance from where all the action is.
