The hotel staff was great and very helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations. We were so thankful they let us check in at 8am after flying all night.

The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel is in walking distance of just about everything- just bring comfortable walking shoes!

We liked the location of this hotel and the size and ammenities of the rooms. The mattress felt as firm as the floor, but enjoyed the large size of our bed. We were able to walk to all of the sights we were interested in seeing. The breakfast was adequate, but nothing memorable. Luckily, we figured out to order Italian coffee rather than drink ...

Although reviews for the Visconti Palace varied, we had an absolutly Fabulous stay in Nov.2005!! The staff was extremely helpful and you could not beat the location, within walking distance of ever Rome attraction!!
The rooms were not large, but very well kept and clean!

modern hotel with terrific air conditioning, air is sometimes a problem in italian hotels. room was very nice. vey clean, and buffet breakfast excellent. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED HOTEL

Rooms were lovely, The staff was very pleasant, and the location was good, especially for Vatican City. There were several very nice restaurants close to the hotel.

The location was great!! Easy walk to Vatican and other points of interest. Room was clean. No wash cloths in bathroom. I called for washcloths and the person at the desk said in a very rude way that we did not need any, so I cut two wash cloths out of a towel.The bellman left our luggage in the hallway. It has a great location. Rooms are equal to U.S. standards (your own bath, decent size room, cable TV,clean). It's pricey (in my estimation) but probably not much higher than the average U.S. type hotel room in Rome. If we go back to Rome, we'll probably stay at the Visconti.

The Visconti Palace is just outside the hustle and bustle of the historic area of Rome. It is walking distance to the Vatican as well as most of the must see sites. While the location of the hotel is excellent, its service and ambience are not. The front desk personell are uniquely unfriendly, scowling most of the time, and do nothing more than the minimum for guests. There is nothing to provide for even an asprin. Breakfasts, the only meal served, are adequate but unimaginative.
