We stayed at Dromoland for 10 night and had a wonderful time. We are seasoned travelers having stayed at other castles and 5 star hotels all over the world. We found the service, food, amenities, staff and everything else to be the best we've experienced. We will definitely go back again real soon.
I loved how the place was soo well manicured and taken care of. There wasnt a single place on the entire property that wasn't perfect.

Bad Attitudes
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/23/06
Reservations staff were unhelpful and quiet arrogant. Generally unimpressed by the level of service - the only redeeming quality was the restaurant manager!!!
Facilities: would expect better in a camp site in France - the pool and gym are seperate from the hotel.
Main problem was BAD attitude of staff - unacceptable!

Beautiful but too pricey!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/31/06
The rooms and grounds were beautiful and the food was good. However, do not go in January because it is not worth the expensive price. We also got overcharged by the hotel and they won't even respond to emails about the situation.

We stayed at the Castle, which was originally owned by the O'Brien family, on our honeymoon in 2001. We were pampered from minute one.
The room was spacious and beautiful. The grounds were magical. The amenities were top flight, including sauna, pool, health club and massage. The restaurant was classic for both dinner and morning ...

A Grand Hotel indeed!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/04/04
My boyfriend and I stayed at Dromoland the last night we spent in Ireland and I am glad we didi it that way because we stayed in B&B's the other 5 night we were there. Dromoland would've spoiled us for anything less. I was able to order my anxiously purchsed Waterford crystal from the Belleek shop there and we were treated as royalty. Our ...
