the food in the resturant was disgusting cold to tepid the only saving grace was the chinese and italian at no extra cost

I liked the place where it is located, the rooms are big but the cleaning of the room was very poor. there was only one vase for washing tooth, sometimes there were no towel neither toillet paper in the room. No towel for the floor of the bathroom and the recepcionists are generally not nice and not helpful.

Booked two weeks at the Grand via Thomas Cook for June 2008.Having then read the mixed reviews had some doubts.
However we found the Hotel, friendly,efficient and clean.Breakfasts (buffet style) were great and the Chinese and Italian restaurants (no extra charge) were very good. Main dinner buffet style good but not special and wines from 15 euros ...

Stayed here with an oceanfront room on an upper floor with half-board, a few weeks prior to the high tourist season. I could not have been more pleased with the location, the service and the multi-lingual staff--many went from Greek to German to English in the same conversation. The breakfast could not be beat. The only downside I could say is the drinks were a little pricy at dinner (13 EU for a bottle of house wine) I would stay here again.

I enjoyrd everything about the Grand from the history and the food and the location.

The hotel is well situated, for the old town area, and is of a good standard, but not English 5 star standard, so if you dont expect that, you wont be disappointed. Our room overlooked the gardens and main pool and was spacious, the furniture was practical, and there was more than sufficient storage space. Its was cleaned daily.
