The price is unbeatable unless you stay at a dumpy hotel in Maldonado City. The beach is beautiful, sunsets are incredible. Pizza Solanas is a restaurant close by that is friendly, affordable, and tastey. Great BBQ. The people at the hotel speak English and treat us with care. The rooms are comfortable and clean. In response to the Seattle review of the hotel I would definitely say this person is a rotten apple. The owners of that hotel are very sweet and welcoming, they are always hospitable and my ex-girlfriend's family often stayed with them prior to building a house in the same area.
