Very beautiful hotel, great service, amazing ocean view from most rooms. Small island, very close to a small town with shopping and restaurants open at night. About 10 min to the capital city Orangestad by bus - $2/person ride. If not for undercooked eggs and meat, all would be great, however, because of undercooked egg my son had to be rushed to emergency room with salmonella. Beware.

We honeymooned at Rui Palace, and it was an experience like no other. We're in our late twenties and have done the cuba/dominican/acapulco thing....THE RIU was like NO OTHER. You won't starve, lots to do everyday, the staff GENUINE and happy. We'd go back in a heartbeat!

We just came back from our Honeymoon in Aruba, we stayed at the RIU Grand Palace...Horrible thats all I can say..The food was Disgusting, old & cheap. The staff is RUDE beyond belief..They stole stuff from our room...The so called "entertainment" there is stupid..they consider entertainment as 4 young 12 year olds dancing on stage ...

We loved everything about it. The staff was great, the food was good, the pool was nice. This was our 5th year vacationing in Aruba and the Riu was by far the best place we have ever stayed.

We visited the end of August/labor day weekend. We really enjoyed our stay and loved the Riu, but when I got home, found out my diamond ring and tanzanite earrings were missing!. I kept them locked up in the safe all the time and the room locked. I called the Riu upon returning home, but no one could ever help me. DO NOT TAKE ANY VALUABLE JEWELRY WITH YOU, UNLESS YOU WEAR IT AT ALL TIMES!

Beautiful Hotel by far, compared to so many others. The month of Sept. was a little humid, so therefore a lot of mosquitos were out!
