I expected a fairly regular hotel room. What I received was and inn-like experience with brand new duvet covers, new pillows, and a great bathroom. I was pleasantly surprised and the cost was not the crazy amount yo pay in the cities.
I love this hotel! It is very classy yet family friendly! It is close to every thing including great dining, shopping and the movies. Who could ask for more?

OVERALL
I recently travelled from Toronto to Halifax, took the CAT to Maine and went on side roads through New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, back into Canada, then to Northern Ontario. A month of motel living, and this was awesome!

The staff were fantastic. I loved the whole experience staying here for the night, but please, if you are a light sleeper, ask for a room that does not face the front. The town clock gongs the hour, but I beleive it is silent after 11pm. I was exhausted from all the driving I had done that day and wanted to turn in early.
It is located within short walking distance of all downtown restaurants and shops, is very inexpensive, and has a steakhouse in the hotel. There is a lovely fireplace, and lots of information on all things to do in Vermont.

Decent hotel, I overpaid

Great location, near the state house (beautiful -- go see it, takes little time), in the heart of 'downtown' Montpelier -- town is very walkable, cool diners, etc. Old movie theater across the street too.
Hotel itself looks cool & historic, but room was drab, but decent amenities for the business traveler (plenty of outlets, decent ...
