I stayed at the hotel for three days when my son returned from Iraq. my stay was quite enjoyable the front desk staff was friendly and so were was the housekepper who cleaned my room. I could tell they really cared. The hotel shows sign of improvements as I could tell they were working in things. Worth my money and was great that they had a lounge.

Don't Sleep Here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/16/07
Our softball team came in for the weekend and all 13 families had horrible service. Most families had to wait 3-4 hours for there room past our check in time and we had these rooms reserved for a month. When we did finally get to our rooms, most were still dirty that the maids just made the beds, but left the dirty towels in the bathrooms, the ...

No nonsmoking rooms. 4 of us stayed in different rooms All rooms stunk, carpets are filthy. Staff - called at midnight demanding we come down and pay for the night. We were PREPAID including that night. When electrical power is lost, it takes days to fully reestablish. At checkout, EVERY guest had problems and all 4 of us checked out at different tmes. Don't stay here. Sleeping in the park is preferable.

Good place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/01/06
Three of us attended a conference and stayed in three different rooms on three different floors the end of April 2006. Hotel is a great value. Clean, well maintained, microwave, refrigerator, coffe pot in room. Everything worked with no surprises. One warning though: Service although Texas-friendly is small-town slow. Personnel are very friendly & competent but life slows down when you leave the the big city.
Recently we stayed at one of the top-notch hotels in Killeen, TX. We were pleased to say the staff was so wonderful. The rooms were beautiful and the hotel was clean and gorgeous. Anything we needed, towels, etc. they provided us and we were so pleased with the service. There were several of us who stayed and we all agreed the Plaza hotel was the best hotel and defintely a great choice. We are glad we made the decision to stay there.

Don't be mislead by the fancy-schmancy name. This dingy hotel was depressing and claustrophobic. I was really dissappointed. The "best" hotel in Killeen should have higher standards, especially if the bulk of it's clientele are military and their families!

not at all worth the money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/26/05
Well the carpets are filthy. Not only in the hallways but in the rooms. The bathrooms needs some serious redoing. The floors are disgusting. This place is also full of mildew and mold. The manager doesn't seem to do anything to fix the problems with housekeeping. The upper floors hallways smell like a geriatric ward. This place needs some ...
