Before my stay I read many reviews and wish I would have taken their advice. The person (male?female?) who checked us in should have been my tip-off to what was to come. The room we had reserved well in advance was not available when we arrived for check-in. We were given another somewhat larger room but instead of the queen bed we were promised ...
Hotel lobby area is beautiful. Room was clean and updated. Stayed two rooms down from 311 but no supernatural experiences. Elevator was quick, bed was very comfortable. Our son slept on the pull-out sofa bed and slept all night. Pool and hot tub area were nice and clean. Even tried the gym area which was right next to the pool. Valet and ...

Read House - Great Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/29/09
I stayed at the Read House Sheraton on a business trip recently and we had a great experience. They upgraded our rooms to suites upon check in. The restaurant was delicious and it has very nice indoor pool and hot tub. The bell-men were very helpful and quick. The location couldn't be better, very close to everything. I would definitely stay here again.

My family and some friends were guests here back in 2006. We had an absolutely fantastic time! loved everything about it including the ghosts!. We stayed on the 9th floor had 3 rooms and everyone had their own ghost experience. We will be visiting again over easter on our way back from Florida. Two of my kids' friends will be traveling with us ...
During our recent stay at the Sheraton Read House we encountered the following problems; 1) We were denied bell service and help with our luggage and other items which led to us having to carry our own things to our rooms in multiple trips. 2) I was charged a different rate than I had booked online for and was told there was nothing I could do ...
The front desk was not the friendliest people. When you asked something of them, you could tell that this was their job, that they didn't really like that fact, and that you were a "burden" on them. Honestly, the cleaning ladies were much friendlier than the men in suits behind the desks. The hotel was clean and tidy, although the ...
Front desk staff was rude. We requested an early check in because we were attending a wedding. Could not give us the room until 3pm. We had to get ready at the restrooms. Somewhere along the lines my $400 camera was picked up out of my bag between checking in baggage & bell boys! Do not stay at this hotel, it was the worst hotel experience ...

Cleaniness in our room was sloppy and none of the cleaning staff spoke english ,the head housekeeper was rude when we tried to convey our displeasure over our flithy room. The only nice thing we can say was bed was heavenly. The steakhouse food was overpriced for the food they served, the quality was pathetic at best! The hotel was renovated a while ...
Very nice old hotel. Rooms are a bit small, but clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The front desk & valet service was friendly and efficient. May not be the best hotel to take a large family, but for a business trip or a quiet couple getaway, its hard to find a better hotel in Chattanooga.

My eyes are still drooping 2 days later.

I couldn't get a wink of sleep. Didn't know about the ghost stories until after returning home, but it makes sense given its historical aspect. People might like it for those reasons, but I certainly did not. I'm not into the paranormal, and even by staying on the fourth floor away from the allegedly super-haunted room 311, I still ...
