The bed was great. Historic charm. Ask for Linda @ Porters steak house, she was the best ! Told us all the great places to go and provided great service. The rest of the staff were good to. Room was clean, great location, close to all downtown attractions and the river !

BEST VALET SERVICE EVER!!

I have traveled all of the world, and the Read houses valet is hard to top! Every staff member of the valet employees went out of their way to make sure my stay in Chattanooga was the best it could be! The Manager of the valet was extreamly impressive in his knowledge of the city and on customer service! Not to mention Porter's a restaurant ...

First of all, everyone should book a couple of nights at this hotel. My friend and I were treated like VIPs and felt most welcome. Checking in and out is extremely fast and the staff is so very nice. The atmosphere is nostalgic but the rooms are modern, the beds are fantastic for sleeping and restaurant, Porters, is top notch.

The internet information and pictures are not accurate. The rooms are old and ill equipped to handle families or modern travelers. Too few outlets and shelf/counter space in the bathrooms. A rather uncomfortable hotel. The location was also poor as most of the city features are near the riverfront nearly a mile away.

I am from North Carloina and we stayed at the shearton Read House and had requested the haunted room (yeah right) on 3 different trips we made to Chattanooga.. We have NEVER had anything weird or unsual happen in that room that is supposely haunted by a woman. I think it could be a hotel prank to get more guest and more money. If anyone did have ...

Beautiful hotel! We had a jacuzzi suite and it was so nice. The lobby was beautiful and the Porters restaurant food was good. The jacuzzi tub was not very powerful but nice. Reserved a full-size suite for two nights. The most disappointing suite I have ever seen at any price. Small,overpriced, underserviced, hidden charges,disappointing facility. I have been a fan of Sheraton hotels for quite sometime however, the employees at the Sheraton Read House were substandard and extremely rude. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone much less for a family vacation.

There wasn't anything that i diliked about the Sheraton the part that was the best was the architecture on the ceiling in the loby ans the silver ball room! I came with a friend she was going to UTC and I called my mom that night and told her was had to came back!!! this place is very beautiful

We had an unscheduled trip to make over thanksgiving. we booked the read hotel online. everything was perfect, the hotel is beautiful, clean, all the employees made sure they spoke to us and asked if we needed anything. The area was in the business district we felt very safe walking around even at night. they have a shuttle that takes you to the airport which is handy.
