My family and I booked a standard guest room. For about $120 a night I expected something much nicer. The rooms were okay in size, but not very handicap accessable. My dad could only get his wheel chair into the room, but no further. For three people it was a tight squeeze. You also have to pay $20 a day for parking. It adds up fast. All the employess were very nice and helpfull though. The room wasn't bad, it's just not what you pay for.
We were surprised (a good surprise) by the new look of the rooms. We stayed here 2 years ago while looking at Penn with our daughter. The rooms were very dark. The staff mentioned that the rooms just completed renovations last week. A nice change! And, they have added a desktop computer in each room with free wireless access.

My trip to Phili
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/22/08
If you want to stay downtown, this is the place. I was there on my business and had to be all over the area, and everything was on walking distance. The Lobby area was very nice and the desk staff polite. Customer service is just great! People are very friendly. They know how to treat their customers. Room was clean, renovated, modern and a ...
I enjoyed a stay at this hotel during the Rolling out the Red Carpet recruiting event for the School District of Philadelphia. We were treated to a two night 3-day stay in the hotel while we were shown the benefits of living and working in the city of Philadelphia as teachers. The hotel provided so many wonderful ammenities and wonderful rooms. ...

Great beds and location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/19/05
I stayed here after a family member was hospitalized unexpectedly. It has a great location near Penn, Drexel and Presbyterian Medical Center with lots of resturants and bookstores in walkign distance. It is incredibly easy to get to from I-95. Management was extremely nice and helped me enormously in a time of crisis. The beds were very comfortable with big soft comforters. I plan to return.

HVAC problem
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/24/05
I've stayed at this hotel twice in the past year and had difficulty with the heating/air conditioning unit in my room. Last summer the a/c ran till the room felt like icewater, then shut off till it felt like an oven. This winter the heat did the same thing (only in reverse). It's a good location and the rooms are very nice, but they need to get this problem fixed.

Fix the heat!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/27/05
The hotel's location is great -- it's right next to the University of Pennsylvania, within easy walking distance of Drexel U., 30th Street Station, restaurants, &c. The room was nice. But the heating/AC unit was flaky, which was a problem because I was there for a bitter night in January. The unit would come on, heat the room, shut off, ...

Ideal for parents and potential students
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/09/04
The Sheraton University City is located adjacted to Penn and Drexel universities, making it an ideal location for visiting families and prospective students alike. As such, this place will book up quickly for big events like parents weekend and graduation, so book early. The hotel itself is pretty nice, with large renovated rooms and a nice sports bar/restaurant on the lobby level.
