I've been staying at the Avalon Inn one weekend a year for over 10 years. It's like stepping back in time to a more gracious age. Always had excellent, friendly service. The staff has been delightful and the rooms were lovely. It is definitely not a cookie-cutter box of a hotel. I would recommend the Avalon Inn to anyone - and I don't even golf!

Nasty rooms, dirty carpet in the room. The room also smelled bad. The staff was rude. Probably one of the worst managed propertys I have ever seen.

The golf courses are no big deal as I don't have time to golf when I am there anyway. But it is kind of like surrounding a pig pen with rose gardens. It still stinks...

Very poor customer service, had to change rooms 3 times in one night! No working air conditioners or refridgerators in the 1st two rooms. I would never stay there again. requested a partial/full refund and given the run-around about management, low staffing, and unable to meet others needs when they have a wedding going on.
