We are starwood gold members and spent 24,000 points for two rooms on New Years Eve this year to stay in a HOT, SMALL, DIRTY room. Stains on the carpet, ugly bathrooms! Shame on the Sheraton!!!!!!!. The only good thing was the location. Mrs. Piester of NJ

Don't do it!!!

Service was horrible, rooms were dirty, beds were uncomfortable, buffet was lousy, could not wait to check out!!! We always stay at the Marriot Marquis down the street and would highly recommend that instead.

Bite out of Big Apple was sweet
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/12/07
My 19-year-old daughter and I just got back from a four day trip to NYC and loved our stay there including the Sheraton at Times Square. There was one snag when we checked in but it worked out well for us. We had requested two beds but were told that room wasn't available so hotel staff offered us a king-size bed and free buffet breakfasts for ...

A bad hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/25/07
I am a loyal Starwood member and try to seek out Starwood properties for the most part. This is simply a really bad hotel though. The rooms are dingy, the furnishings are old and overall its not a pleasent experience. The staff is quite okay; my issue is with the physical infrastructure.

Start Spreading the News - Horrible - Do Not Stay at This Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/19/07
I had the misfortune of staying at the Sheraton Manhattan at Times Square while on a September 2007 business trip to NYC.
The place quite simply is an overpriced dump. Although they claim the property has undergone a recent multi-million dollar renovation not all rooms have been completed. Take a look at the other negative reviews posted ...
This was a graduation present for my granddaughter. The two of us went to the Big City for the weekend. The personnel at the hotel were very accomadating in helping us find our way around the city. They answered our questions and were very helpful.

Good location - that's about all I can say good about this hotel. The rooms were run down and small. The walls are apparently paper thin because I could hear conversations from the adjoining rooms as if they were standing right next to me.
If you like me have few opportunities to vaction in New York, go the extra mile and pay for a good hotel.

Stayed 4 nights. Booked 2 rooms well in advance. Wanted adjoining. Did not get. One room was ready ,the other not ready until 6.00 p.m. Very disappointing. Our room air conditioner not working properly. On fourth day our room was not cleaned until 7.00 p.m. after repeated phone calls. They missed. We did receive complimentary breakfast due to ...

Don't stay at this hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/01/07
The staff at this hotel provided the worst service I have ever experienced! The staff was very rude and stated that our room request were just that...a request because we booked through Yahoo travel. The front desk personnel "Louise" gave us this information and treated us as if we were less than human. The running joke throughout our ...
My stay again this year was wonderful. Rooms were clean. Location was excellent. The staff was friendly and accomodating for the most part. Requested non smoking room and was unable to get one, but other than that, the stay was very pleasant. Easy access to any type of transportation. Right in the middle of everything. One of the only hotels I will stay at.
