Never again!

I stayed here recently for the fourth (and last) time. The rooms were shabby and, in one case, not even clean. In our group, 2 rooms out of 5 had items stolen - cash and jewelry. The hotel security people were most unhelpful. Yes, the location is great and, compared to others in the area, it is inexpensive but if you stay here look after your valuables.
The location of this hotel is the only thing going for it right now. If it was anywhere else it would have been closed down a long time ago. The check in time was unbelievably long, approximately an hour. Finally when I was able to check in, I went to my room. As I was walking down the hall I noticed the doors to the rooms. They looked like ...
Our Hotel Pennsylvania experience started when we arrived at 7:00 p.m. on a holiday weekend. While we waited online for approximately 1 hour to check in (which we were told is relatively short) in a lobby with no air conditioning, I needed to use the restroom. The concierge sent me to a basement area straight out of a slasher movie without ...
What ever you do, do not stay here. Judgeing by the reviews some of the rooms have probably been upgraded but ours certainly was not for at least 40 years. the place looked like somewhere you would take a hooker. The service stunk, we waited an hour to be checked in. the room was disgusting stains dirty rugs, dirty everything, perfect place for ...
Great location thats the only good thing to say about this hotel. The reception was bright and welcoming. The moment we saw the lifts our hearts sank they looked industrial. The first room we were given was dull, cold, sparse and had damp patches on the walls the carpet had seen much better days and the bathroom was primitive. We wanted to cry! ...

Incident at Hotel Pennsylvania
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/01/08
I booked a Pet-Friendly Package at the Hotel Pennsylvania, which included a room with one king bed, among other things. When we were checking in I was holding my puppy in my hand and the reception assistant saw it. She asked us if we wanted a room with two full beds instead of one with a king bed, and we said yes.
I have stayed at the hotel 3 times now and NEVER had the complaints some of these people talk about! We arrived 1 day early and hoped for the best, the desk was busy but got us in a nice room, #906. We stayed for 8 days, each day the room was cleaned by a nice housekeeper named Monica. Yes the rooms are small, but are you there to see the city or ...

Location, location, location.....blocks from time square, near other attractions (madison sq garden, empire state building), easy access to subway. Across the street from Penn station, we took train to DC.
The rooms were decent especially for the price compared to other hotels in the same area. We had some problems with the ac leaking all over ...
