Wonderful views of the mountains, lake on premises and trail will take your breath away, but the pictures are not what the hotel looks like now. Its old, it seems that nobody fixed it for 50 years and it needs it. Its way overpriced for the accomodations.

WE WILL BE BACK IT WAS JUST A EXCELLENT VIEW THAT GIVE YOU THE FELLING YOU IN A FAILY TAIL LAND. MY SON WOULD LIKE TO GET MARRGIE THIER AND HE AHVENT CHANGE HIS MIND YET.

Mohonk is an excellent resort and spa. Although it may seem pricey, when you add 3 excellent meals per day and all the free activities, it is really great. Spa was awesome. Book early and use the private area all day. Staff was good. Some minor issues but overall a great place. Room was a little tight after king bed was in place.
mohonk mountain house is not for those individuals who are timid about paying $500.00 per night for a hotel room. (dbl. occ.) But if you can bring yourself to pay the price, you'll be in for a relaxing getaway without equal The food, grounds, staff and service are exeplary. It is the ultimate destination if your goal is to unwind and enjoy some quiet time.
If your looking for a throw back to a forgotten era the Mohonk resort in the town of New Paltz is for you. Great walking around the property at high elevation and can see possible eagle flight. A little musty but thats all in the charm of the place.
We visted Mohonk for a "Mystery Weekend" last fall. Being from the "other" coast, this was quite an experience for me. The house is HUGE and wonderfully unique. It has breathtaking views of the lake.
