Everything was awful - from the filthy room and toilet to the foul smell, paint patched doors and no maid service. We left one day early! The outside was falling apart and the outside walkways were filthy too. The air conditioner smelled and rattled all night. Drunks were looking for their rooms at night, half naked barefoot men smoking outside ...

The Frontdesk Staff could not have been any nicer, hopefully the Hotel maintenance dept will learn from them!

A friend and i had to get to albany for a construction meeting and would be arriving late in the evening. I booked a room here and when we arrived the room smelled like someone had died in it. It was too late and we were too tired to look elsewhere. Fortunately i carry a bottle of fabreeze in my truck and used half of it just so we could sleep. NEVER AGAIN

This hotel was truly an experience. When we opened the door, a foul smell assaulted us. We turned on the light and the lampshade had a huge hole in it. I was not at all impressed with this hotel. There was an odd smell that permeated the room. There were iron marks on the rug. My blanket had a burn hole in it and the pillowcase had stains. The toilet bowl did not flush the way it should. The air conditioner was very noisy and kept me awake most of the night. All in all, I did not enjoy staying at this particular Howard Johnson.
