loved it!!i loved this hotel! it wasnt the biggest room ive ever been in but the way the hotel feels is amazing! i was greeted by the nice people at the door who took care of everything! our room was so cute! the deco was beautiful it really was like stepping back in time. it was in a great location...and over all i will stay there every time i go back to new york!OVERALL

Nice but don't be on the streetWe had a four night stay and the hotel is clean and the staff is nice. But if you stay on the street be prepared for multiple trash trucks throughout the night. Great Breakfast and free internet. Great location.2 of 2 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulOVERALL

Wouldn't stay anywhere else!A friend recommended this hotel to us in 1990. We found it to be an elegant oasis and have returned most every year since. The service is impeccable. What really makes an impression is the second floor Library. Excellent Deal in NYC!We just got back from a 4 night stay at this hotel in Manhattan. This mid-town hotel is in the perfect location and within walking distance to almost everything!

Nice but Cramped & NoisyThe lobby is very nice but when we stayed, there were ongoing renovations so we had to use the service elevator which was cramped and off a narrow walkway by the stairs. We barely could squeeze through with carry-on luggages. Perhaps the renovations are done now, but the room was cramped too and traffic is very loud in rooms facing the street. Cannot wait to returnThis hotel added to a fantastic Christmas trip to NYC. Staff was always helpful and knowledgeable. From the Continental breaskfast to the wine and cheese in the evening one could not ask for a better experience. The only negative during our stay was the quality of the beds and sheets. They were not of the quality that one has come to expect in a first class hotel.
