I read the reviews before making my reservation here. I figured some of the people who gave bad reviews were probably just a little too picky. I WAS WRONG!!! Because of the price, I didn't expect an immaculate place and I new the motel was old but this place is so disgusting...not even worth the budget price paid. I didn't mind the old ...

I stayed at the somerset in may and it was fine for me ,just the tv had bad reception .THe other party staying in another room found two bugs in the kitchen. I know he did not say anything but i would go there again knowing that the problem was taken care of , so we will inform the hotel of the roaches, as for the money and location i would go back if the problem is fixed ,
The Somerset House is right near the convention center and we were able to get a room with a kitchen on short notice during the consumer electronics show! Close enough to walk to convention center or the monorail. It was clean and neat, spacious and was like a blast back to the fifties. It was fun!
This is an older property, so don't expect anything glitzy. All in all, I had a very good experience here. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was quite comfortable as a place to lay my head at night. Located about halfway between the strip and the convention center, it was a reasonable walk to several nearby ...
Not far form the strip & It was just fine, not fancy but clean. The quiet escape from the strip was nice.

You can walk to the strip no problem.I took a cab from the Stardust back to the motel one night beacuse I was alone and you never know. The cab driver was a jerk about the short fair. He did not say anything but you could tell, he drove like a nut on the short trip back. That should give you a good idea of how close it is. The rooms are out dated ...
ten years ago my husband and I got married in las vegas and we staied in this need motel for three days and two nights. we love this place, because it I home away from home.
This place was great right from the start! The front desk clerk was friendly and knowledgable. The price was outstanding. The rooms aren't 3 miles from the parking lot, like all the huge resort casinos. The rooms were clean. Shower was great. It was located right off the strip near the Stardust. Its has an awesome sign out front. The only complaint would be that the carpet was getting old. Other than that, I am definately going back.
My 3 girlfriends and I stay at the Somerset house. It's not beautiful room decor, it's decent and clean. They keep it up. We like the fact that it is only 3 floors, easy to get to the pool - no fighting to get a chair. The beds are comfy and very clean. There are alot of nearby amenities, like Walgreens for munchies, Dennys restaurant ...
I Have stayed at the Somerset House, off and on for years! While not upscale, the value cant be beat! I'd rather save the $100.00 or so dollars, for a great meal and a show! The staff is always 1st rate, the beds are clean and the water is hot and if you are wondering whether you need a reservation, you had better get one because the facility is always full!
