So if you're in the area for any amount of time, stop by the Donner Lake Village Resort in Truckee, California.

The rooms are very nice, and you are in close proximity to all the important things in Truckee.

Try driving up the road and you'll end up halfway up a mountain overlooking Donner Lake. It's a beautiful view!!

Stayed there in Feb 2005 for a weekend. The rooms were very comfortable and well-decorated. The decor varies, as they are privately-owned condos, ours was nice and comfortable. Much better than a typical hotel room. Even the hallways had antique photos of the Truckee area, with explanations.
