We stay at the motel each summer when we are playing baseball in Vicksburg, MS. We have seen other motels in the area and there is no comparrison at all.
The staff is very friendly. They even have 4 parrots in the lobby for entertainment for the smaller children! The pool is nice and clean as well.

Recently took a 2 week roadtrip vacation through Arkansas, Mo,Tenn, and Mississippi. Of all the motels and Casino hotels we spent a night or two, the Battlefield Inn was our most pleasant stay. Everything from the clean rooms, friendly staff, excellent restaurant,to the free afternoon cocktails made us feel right at home. I would refer all my friends to stop in if ever in Vicksburg.

Friendly, courteous staff ... wonderul drinks and dining .... I saw all sorts of adds for good restaraunts in Vicksburg, but I couldn't drag myself away from the hotel!! Great atmosphere, great location adjacent to the Park.
It's slightly retro feel and southern hospitality make it a winner. I've chosen to return there with my new bride as the site for our first vacation as a couple, despite three + years since my last visit!
