Based on the other reviews I was expecting this place to be a dump, but I am happy to report we had a nice stay there. The front desk staff went out of there way to be helpful, and the connected bar/restaurant was a lot of fun with great bands both nights we were there, and very nice wait staff.

The front desk staff is incompetent. They didn't charge us the rate they quoted, they doubled it! Also, they ran the charges twice on top of everything else. My kids and I booked a room here because of the close proximity to ValleyFair. Absolutely the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The entire place has a musty, moldy smell. The carpet was so filthy and smelly we couldn't even take our shoes off. The pool area had visible mold and mildew growing. The "continental" breakfast is a joke, along with the food-encrusted tables in the breakfast area. Smelly, moldy, dirty place!

The numerous negative reviews on Yahoo! Travel accurately summarize just how terrible this place is.
