Please, do not waste your money or your time on the Provincetown Inn! My new husband and I were welcomed by a rude young woman who would not even look up from her desk at us. We were too early to check in, so we took a walk around the property; everything was overgrown, old (not in the charming sort of way!), full of strange smells, and we were ...

Our sheets were dirty with hair and stains all over them and we had to have the maid put on another set of sheets. It seemed like they hadn't been changed after the previous guests. The bath towels were also very gross so we used our beach towels instead. The rooms are very stuffy and there is poor ventilation. Wouldn't go back unless the rooms were updated and improved.

Go somewhere else!

The only polite person I spoke to was a young pleasant fellow on the phone making our reservation. We came to check in at the desk - things seemed unorganized - the person helping us was a older mumbling gum chewing woman, cold, unpleasant, really hard to understand- what a welcome! Went to our room through a really smelly hallway - to find no ...

Saw a few bugs in the rooms, but nothing serious. The place is very old and it show's her age, but I don't think a modern updated hotel would work in such a historic place like this. She needs some tlc in and out, and a few updates, but everything went great, food was good, everything worked, and the staff are very friendly. It does have ...

Old Lady of the Cape
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/04/07
Stayed at the Inn Aug 28-31st 2007. OK.. The hotel shows it's age. The public rooms do have a musty odor, there are no elevators, the carpet is worn a bit. BUT we found our room to be clean and comfortable with a fantasic view of the cape overlooking the pool (out over roof top-no big deal)Do keep in mind the hotel is a walk to town, but you ...

Don't stay at Provincetown Inn
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/25/07
Do not believe the web site. Learned too late that places that don't show rooms should be avoided. This place is falling apart. The lobby had a bad odor. The "view" was over a roof. The room barely had space to walk. Not even a coffee pot in the room - couldn't even be lent one. Couldn't stay there - lost my security ...
The Provincetown Inn has a fantastic location with many waterfront views at a very reasonable price. It is a good place for families being on the water and within walking distance of downtown eateries, etc.
The downside is the place is slowly deteriorating, and will need some major renovating before long. This wasn't an issue for my stay - the room furnishings were nice and it was very clean.

Was there for a confernce. No food available to eat between the time the pool restaurant closed and the Pub opened. The front desk personel were not helpful. Shared the room with another put her name on the registration card , in case she would get a phone call. She did receive a phone call. The caller was told she was not there. What would ...

Absolutely perfect
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/05
We stayed at the Provincetown Inn for a Wedding. I have to say everything about this location was just perfect. The rooms were clean, the food was good, the location was great. It was enjoyable waking up in the morning and sitting outside having a cup of coffee and just relax. I would recommend this place to anyone. I have children and each one of them want to comeback.
