The front staff was very friendly even though we checked in after midnight. Didn't have anyone to bring up towels so, we had to go get them. The over all room was nice but the tub was cracked and they should tell you they are located right next to a railroad track.

For all the negative talk about the railroad, there are many of us who come to this Holiday Inn specifically because the railroad is there across the street! Among rail enthusiasts, this place is absolute heaven! I usually stay here several times every year. Staff and accommodations are excellent and train noise isn't that bad at all. ...
The room itself was nice...the service was good. Especially due to the fact they had a convention going. The price though for the fact the room was supposed to be non-smoking and you could smell the smoke. The bathroom was tiny. Would stay but be prepared to pay a high price for an average room. Would advise you to look to hotels in LaVale.
The holtel is quite obviously an older hotel, but it is very, very well maintained and immaculately clean. The level of service, from the front desk to the cleaning crews is top notch! I have been in much newer, larger hotels in larger cities that could learn a lot from the folks at this hotel! My only caveat is to make sure you request a room ...

Railroad noise!

Half of the rooms face several railroad tracks only 150' away, which are used around the clock. Nice hotel otherwise, but beware that side of the building.
