Don't stay here unless price is your only priorityReviews are pretty much on point, super dirty, worn out, had someone try to open my door to see if it was unlocked. Felt like I was takenI know staying in the city is pricey, but there are ways to make people feel like they are not getting totally ripped off. Heck thrown in a free breakfast or something. The Ramada Inn Lake Shore is not a bad hotel, but was worth only about half of what I paid. Just be aware, it may be one of the cheaper priced hotels in the area, but it's value is not even close to it's price.OVERALLServiceCleanliness

You'll get less than what you pay forWe were visiting from San Francico and decided to saty here as it is very close to my Grandmother's condo;directly across the street. TERRIBLE.This place was a joke. The front desk staff the first night was very rude and unprofessional. The manager was "never available" for 4 NIGHTS IN A ROW. It's very run down and dirty. BewareI will never forget putting up all the out-of-town guest from my wedding at the Hyde Park Ramada. We were shown two new rooms, but our guests were put in an annex. Our guests reported blood-stained carpets, disgusting bedding, and prostitutes knocking on their doors at night offering services. god awfulThis hotel is not nearly worth even half the price. The website boasts free internet everywhere, however only some rooms have internet. We requested internet access and were promptly placed in rooms without internet. BED BUGS!!Rude staff, bathroom smelled like poop, room smelled like smoke, did I mention rude staff?? Did not smile, or greet you in any way. We used the shuttle twice, and Annie was very nice. We stayed for two nights, and will pay $300 next time we go to Chicago to stay downtown somewhere other than here.
Now I am finding bug bites on me and my kids, looks like bedbug bites, wonderful...
