My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend for our anniversary. The staff was the best. It's a great location that's convenient for grabbing CTA to get around town as well as being within walking distance to some nice shops and restaurants.

You cannot beat this place for the price. It's not super fancy but it's clean and well kept. The staff is attentive and there is on-site parking at no additional cost

First off rooms were not ready by after check in time. there was NO hot water in the sink, yes in the bath but not in the sink. i guess only two reasons..but they seem like big reasons.

It is a clean little hotel and a great location. For the value it is a great place. Staff is friendly. Not the Hyatt but parking is free! Where can you find that in Chicago?

The free parking (without additional cost) was great. The rooms are clean, the location is perfect for people that love small walks, and the atmosphere has a 50s theme. Overall it was a good experience.

We stayed at the Howard Johnson for our vacation in the summer, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the room clean and well serviced. On a previous vacation (we're from the UK)we stayed at a slightly more expensive hotel that came no where near to the standard set by the Howard Johnson, well done! We'll be back!
