We came to Boise for a "Fun in the City" weekend and stayed at the Owyhee Hotel. It was one of the best hotel stays we've had. The girl who checked us in was very helpful and the room was excellent. The bed was more comfy than ours is at home! Breakfast was also great. We will be back for sure!!
I saw some really good and no so great comments about this hotel but after many recommendations from some friends decided to give it a try....I was very pleased! Having it downtown and close by everything was great...no worries about a car. Boise is a fun town. Will be back for sure!!!!
Th customer service was nothing to like, often I felt as though I was more of a pain than a guest. there internet was extremely slow, which made it hard to keep up with work. Very old rooms, and they smelled like my grandmothers house. I would stay on my companues dime if there was no place else, but never on my own again!!!
Service was horrible. Very outdated motel. Stains on carpets. The hot water did not work in bathroom & heater did not work. They also upgraded us to a deluxe room. What a joke. I have had cleaner rooms at the Super 8 motel.
Our room was supposedly an up-grade due to their error on our reservation (they over-booked). We did have a king-size bed, but the bathroom was very small, no tub (shower only) and had peeling paint and crumbling walls. The bathroom "vanity" was a 9-inch shelf built above the toilet. The room was noisy and had out-dated decor. ...
This hotel sits right on the "cruise." On the Saturday night we stayed there it was very loud, due to the kids, the music and the cars. It may be quieter on weeknights. Hotel was nothing special, neither was the service. It was within easy walking distance of downtown restaurants, clubs and shopping.
