What this hotel lacks in appointed rooms and comfort it makes up for it with an incredible staff, that caters to all your needs. While Rooms are a bit above avg in comfort, the views are excellent and the restaurants very good(though overpriced, even for Maui standards). They do charge a "resort fee", about 20 bucks, but that does not ...

We were celebrating our 25 wedding anniversary. We came across the Sheraton Maui because the hotel we were originally scheduled to stay at ( In Wailea )was very uncomfortable and unpleasant so we checked out of it. Because of the previous hotel my wife was very upset. The staff here was incredible. They found us a beautiful room and really ...
My husband and I just returned from a 5 night stay and enjoyed the hotel overall. It was very pretty, we had a nice view and the service was generally good. The location at Black Rock, I thought, was perfect. The beach was really nice, there was good swimming and decent snorkeling right there and the rock jumpers were fun to watch (The rock jump ...
everything about the sheraton was perfect. would do it again. went too fast. the service was inpecable. everyone was helpful. try the dinner cruise on the princess. outstanding.
This was my second stay at the Sheraton Black Rock in Kaanapali, Maui. The service is very good, rooms are nice with wide ocean and pool views, and the resort is very nice overall. Best beach in Kaanapali/Lahaina area, great snorkeling, great pool, and the breakfast buffet is highly recommended. Will definitely visit again! Bring your $$$ though, drinks and food aren't cheap.

TERRIBLE! Left After 1 Night - Hard Beds, Broken Dresser & Fridge, No Valet, 5 Elevators to Lobby, Checked Out & Charged $2000
Where do I start with this place? They have put all of their money, it seems, into keeping the outside nice.
Our first night in town we stayed at the 3-Star Royal Laihina next door which we liked. The trouble started when we checked into the Sheraton for our week-long stay.
1. Terrible Location - When we checked in, they told us we had to ...

Wonderful experience!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/05/07
I must admit, I was worried having already booked the trip and then seeing some bad reviews online and here. I have no idea what those people were talking about. The hub and I just got back from 5 days there and it was like a honeymoon, 30 years later. The hotel and our room was so luxurious and clean. And those "sweet sleeper" beds?! ...

Great place...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/24/07
This is a great place for a resort. The pools, snorkling were great. However, their restaurants needs help. The food is not that great for my taste. We were given 35% off for lunch and dinner but you will find they already have higher prices than some local restaurants, so it's not a great deal. Plus, the food is okay. For dinner, try ...
When coming to Hawaii, you must stop by the Sheraton to participate in the greeting of sunrise and sunset by conch. It was absolutely wonderful.

Best resort on Kaanapali Beach!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/20/07
In my oinion, the Sheraton Maui hotel is by far the best resort in Kaanapali beach. It is especially great for families with children. The POOL: So much fun! Great for kids! (in fact we had friends who were staying in Kaanapali beach at the same time as us and they preffered coming to swim in our hotel's pool rather than their hotel's ...
