We have been to Hawaii four times and our very favorite was our stay at the Royal Kona,
it is a perfect location for everything ,food, sight seeing, shopping, meeting the locals. Royal Kona was so very wonderful to us we had no complaints. We were there for 2 weeks and they invited us to a cocktail party before we left. The lagoon to snorkel in is excellent. The room and service was always above average.

We loved the location...and the hotel itself wasn't too bad either. Besides being decorated a little "funky" we enjoyed our stay and are going back in a month:)

Apparently this used to be a Hilton. The building and grounds are interesting, but in need of repair. The room was OK, but not clean (although the bathroom was fine) The glass top table was very dirty and the wrought iron holding the table was filthy etc., etc. I thought maybe we had been given a special "internet rate" room, but other ...

My family and I fully enjoyed our stay at the Royal Kona. While it is an older hotel and is lacking a few amenities that I would have preferred to have (hair dryer, room service) the view from our balcony was wonderful and the location can't be beat as it is within walking distance of a great number of shops and restaurants and an easy drive to many wonderful beach sites.
