This hotel was not a good representation of Doubletree (Hilton) properties. I was very disappointed in the room and especially the bath room, which is so small you can hardly turn around in it. The room itself is okay (small) but certainly not worth the cost. I made my reservfation 4 months in advance and requested an ocean view room, which I ...

The hotel was decent in a great location! Access to the beach and the 'strip' with restaurants and night-life. Some areas of the hotel seemed to need work - but overall a pleasant place to stay.

I searched hotels in Miami beach a long time before choose Doubletree Surfcomber. The hotel is nice not luxury but nice. The room is not big but comfortable. The pool is so great! The location is a little bit far from Ocean Drive if you don't like walking. But people was nice and the guy who is park the car so so sweet!
Since it was a hotel from the Hilton Group i expected much. The staff was friendly the room very clean but also very small.
Same for the bathroom clean but very small but the worst thing was an fan which made a terrible noise. All fans in hotels tend to make more noise then you would like but this one really topped them all. Since we were here ...

This calles itself Hilton?!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/27/05
It was a decent hotel, but it is supposed to belong to the Hilton group, and this just does not fit. It is definately not that good. The bathrooms were a little strange. They were obviously made for handicapped people, which is good, but there could be a few regular rooms as well. For example there was no tub, the shower consisted of a drain in the ...
I gotta say The service was fantastic. The rooms were out of this world. I think the bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. They have an awsum pool and hot tub over looking the beach. But the rooms were big. I think the living room was bigger than most homes have and the same with the full kitchen. They had a large bathroom/w ...

We'll stay here everytime we go to Miami
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/09/05
Our room was extremely cute and extremely clean. I would have paid two to three times as much for this hotel than we did. The fresh cookies were amazing, everything we wanted to see was nearby and the pool and beach were perfect (so perfect that they were filming a commercial there while we were there).
We just got back from our honeymoon. We stayed at the Doubletree in South Beach. It was like $200 per night cheaper, but the hotel was great. Clean, new inside, great pool, friendly staff, breakfast, gated direct access to the beach. Right on the same nice boardwalk (actually pavers) as the close-by Ritz Carlton. Easy walking distance to ...
Nice big name but bad hotel. First of all no water pressure, and no cold water. both sides of have hot water. Room service will not answer the phone in the last 15-20 that they are open. Sat. tv is ok but lost 2 channels in 3 days due to not being paid for. No views- either the court yard or ugly walls of motels next door. Not worth the 250.00 per ...
