It's quite reasonable in the off season. We came last year for three days and decided to return for a week this year. The hotel is beautiful, location is accessable to all the hot spots or just a great place to stay put if you need a break from a hectic schedule. The staff is helpful and always friendly. We hated to leave...
We stayed at Double Tree Ocean Point in North Miami Beach for two nights in the middle of May 2006. We got a very good Intel rate of $139 per night for an ocean front room. From our intenet research, we knew that there is construction in the hotel right next to Double Tree that is very bothersome if you stay on that side of the building and ...
We stayed in this hotel in mid Dec. and loved it. The price is reasonable for what they give you. The view of the ocean is spectacular. The heated pool (although a bit small) was great. The hotel does not have a concierge service, but the front desk people tried to be helpful. It would be nice if the hotel would offer nightly entertainment. ...

Great Hotel, terrible staff!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/17/05
The rooms were beautiful; kitchen was great; bathroom was awesome.
The front desk staff were, consistently, terrible. Incredibly and unnecessarily rude--every request was treated as a huge chore. I asked for assistance finding a restaurant...you would have thought I asked the concierge for her kidney. Once the staff is replaced, I will definitely stay again.

Blue ocean and sand
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/23/05
The double tree oceanpoint is a great place to unwind by sun and sand. It is a beautiful and comfortable condominium hotel with a splendid view of the luscious blue waters of the atlantic ocean straight from your room. We stayed at the northside and we had jaw dropping views of the ocean through the balcony and also through the bedroom.

We stayed in the two bedroom ocean front suite(you get what you pay for)and the views of the ocean was spectacular. The three balconies provided 180 degree view of the area. We saw the sun rise from our pillow top mattress bed in our huge bedroom. The rooms were spotless and the all marble bathroom had a jacuzzi. The kitchen was also helpfull for a ...

The staff was rude and obnoxious. We were promised a room with a view of the ocean, and we got one - you just had to have your face pressed up against the glass to see it out of the corner of your eye

We arrived late on a Friday night, around 12am. The front desk was arrogant and as much personality as a snail. As soon as we opened the door to our one bedroom suite, all the frustration seemed to leave. The lights were dimmed perfectly for night time and music was playing softly throughout the suite. Fresh towels were laid out in the bathroom, ...
Best hotel by FAR that Ive ever stayed in. You will feel the same way! The rooms are like condos. Room service when you want it. The concierge and bellhops are very friendly and helpful. The backyard is the beach, literally. The ocean view is great from the balcony. If you're going to Miami, this is the hotel you need to be in.
