My husband, son and Istayed for 3 days and enjoyed every minute. We got free internet access and free morning paper and beverages brought to our door by signing up to the free loyalty program. We used the bed and breakfast package which included free breakfast for each mornign with the price of our room. Breakfast was from 6:30 to 11:30 and was ...
My husband stayed at the Omni a few years back and suggested that we stay there on our recent visit with our 5 year old son. We could not have been happier. It's not a cookie cutter modern hotel--it's 80+ years old and has hosted many presidents and famous entertainers. When you're there you get the feeling you are stepping back in ...
This hotel is in a very nice convenient location. It's near the a metro stop and is walking distance to a lot of restaurants. The neighborhood is very nice and safe. I'd highly recommend this location if you're visiting DC.
I was there for a conference. The hotel is very lovely, grand lobby. The room was well appointed, a good size and clean, bed comfortable, small fridge in the cabinet (I always go to a local market and get yogurt etc for my own breakfast), wireless access, lots of places to plug in, HD TV. Ordered from room service. The food was quite good and ...
The Omni is in a great location on Calvert St. It has a valet, etc.-very nice people. The staff and the concierge were extremely helpful and very polite. The concierge can help with tours, etc. (The trolley tour is overrated. Either check out the Metro -subway-or do the double-decker bus.) The Omni is an older hotel, but the lobby is emaculate. ...

Horrible Experience

The place was so dirty. The room wasn't cleaned. It smelled so bad. The front desk staff was very rude and didn't seem to care about our problems with the room. I would never stay at an Omni again. It wasn't a 4 star hotel, more like 2 star at best.

Noisy Cooling system, Bad front desk
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/23/08
The cooling system in our room was extremely noisy and prevented us from getting a good night's sleep. Bathroom was VERY small. Arrived early (11:00am) and did not get into our room until 5:30pm. Front desk would promise to contact us about various things we asked about and never got back to us. Management was unwilling to offer anything for the inconvenience

Inconsistent-read before you book

My husband and I were excited to stay at the Omni Shoreham Hotel on a recent trip to D.C. We had heard good things about it and the website/reviews looked fabulous. However, upon arriving to our room we realized the bed was covered with only a sheet and a thin blanket (which, once we looked closer, we realized was stained). After speaking with ...

Perfect spot for a girls weekend in DC!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/09/07
Perfect spot for a girls weekend in DC! Beautiful hotel and a great staff... everyone was very helpful. Lots to do in the area & all w/in walking distance. The rooms are big & spacious, bathrooms are beautiful. The pool was very relaxing, esp with the pool bar where you can get food/drinks. Look forward to our next visit!
First off, let me say that we only had two problems. One was with the toilet in our room. It was a little leaky, but they did fix it. Also we were in room 746 and were told that they were the (newly renovated) rooms. It was beautiful. The only other BIG problem I had was with the noise. There is a HUGE gap inbetween the floor and door of the hallway ...
