Great Lodging

What a relief to find a family owned place that still cares about the customer. This is not the Hilton or Marriott but it is claean and comfortable and the management tries to attend to all your needs. if of course they do miss something give them a break afterall the are just trying to make it work.

Great lodging and skiing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/02/06
We decided to try June Mountain and couldn't be happier. We found a great little family owned place that has all the ammenities. Shuttle, Continental Breakfast, indoor spa, and walking distance to a great restaurant. What a relief from the crowds at Mammoth.

Great rooms

This place is the best!!! The Mgr. jeff is always there to help you out i don't think he ever laves the place. The rooms although not new (probably built in the 60's or 70's but remodeled) are clean and comfortable. What a refreshing change from the hustle of Mammoth.

What a great place!! This is probably one of the nicest places in June Lake and we have been staying in the sierras for years. Fantastic views and clean comfortable rooms. This was a welcome surprise for a non-chain motel.

Enough is Really Enough

We arrived on Friday of Presidents weekend 2006. It was snowing. After checking in we were given directions to our cabin which was up the hill. The Mgr asked if we had our chains on and offered to put them on for us if we didn't. The road was a bit icy but we made it. Our cabin was a Small A Frame for 4 people. After hauling in our luggage and ...

The others are wrong

After reading the other reviews we decided to bite the bullet and give them a try. The only thing we could get was an Aframe which i was skeptical about after having read about the road. Ofcourse we arrived in a snow storm at about 10:30 at night without our chains on and no 4 wheel drive. After checking in I asked if anyone could help with my ...

What a great family place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/28/06
We have stayed at Whispering pines for the last 37 years. The owners have been there longer than that. They will do whatever it takes to make your stay wonderful. The owner-manager Jeff Ronci is a great guy, raised by two of the most gracious and friendly people I have ever met, Art and Joann Ronci. The accomodations are located in the most ...

This was my 3rd and last visit to Whispering Pines, each time I was promised that I would receive a refund for the discrepencies that hindered our stay, each time it did not materialize. During two of our stays the owner, Jeff Ronci, said the phone company was coming to fix the inoperative phone, neither time did that happen. Views are incredible ...
