This place is horrible. They misrepresented the layout of the accommodations. "Shared bathroom" means you don't have one but you have to walk through someone else's private room to use a tiny facility. Their solution? Try to have me room with a woman who had just recovered from pneumonia and had not gotten over the poison oak ...

The floors creek, doors difficult to shut/open, rooms way too small--exercise room carpet dirty and instructor with english accent with mico and loud music impossible to hear, dining area's reminded me of nursing homes--dinner's were a surprise, they were good, but breakfast-oh no---no fresh flowers, nothing really "pretty" to ...

The Oaks sent out a confirm for a 2-person day spa package my sister won from a fundraiser. We were so pleased when we received written confirmation that we were getting a comped overnight room plus 3 meals. After booking my flight and taking a day off for our spa overnight, my sister and I arrived, only to find out that The Oaks made a mistake. ...

Relaxing and Healthy

I went to the oaks once before and have already planned my second stay. The meals are sometimes repetitive but you will lose weight if you stick to their meals. The classes were lovely especially the stretch yoga class.

Shangrila not far from home

It is set in a lovely mountain valley and provides all that a spa should for far less than the "high priced spread". I always lose weight, tighten up and feel renewed. Lots of activities in the town and at the spa Linda Demarco Los Angeles

Only one thing...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/18/06
Overall loved the Oaks. However, in the end I could see that they were not about servicing their customer. I was one hour shy of the appropriate time in cancelling a massage. I wanted to take a bike ride instead. The bike ride it turned out that I wanted could only be at that same hour and not available again in my four day stay. I spoke with ...

A rejuvenating , uplifting experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/25/05
This was my third visit and I enjoyed it so much. The food is great! The exercise programs are wonderful and best of all, I lost weight and inches! Great location, I didn't feel isolated or stuck in the middle of nowhere. It was nice to walk through this quaint little town and do some shopping.
I can't wait to go back!
